Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge is entering an exciting new phase of development. As Alta continues to grow as a destination for sustainable travel, we are committed to strengthening our position as a place for authentic nature experiences, genuine hospitality, and inspiring meeting spaces.
In recent years, we have also expanded our focus on hosting conferences, corporate retreats, and business events. With unique meeting facilities, spectacular surroundings, and a restaurant that celebrates local ingredients and flavours, Bjørnfjell offers a setting that stands apart from traditional conference venues.
As part of this continued development, we are delighted to welcome Linda Heltne as our new General Manager, effective from 1 September.
Linda joins Bjørnfjell after five years as HR Manager at Grieg Seafood Finnmark. She also brings extensive experience from the hospitality industry, having spent many years at Thon Hotel Alta, where she held several leadership positions, including Front Office and Reservations Manager and later Hotel Manager.
Throughout her career, Linda has built strong expertise in leadership, organisational development, quality management, and business improvement. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality from Finnmark University College, giving her a solid academic foundation that complements her practical experience.
We are thrilled to welcome Linda to the Bjørnfjell team. Her experience, leadership, and passion for the hospitality industry will play an important role as we continue to develop Bjørnfjell as both a workplace and a destination. Together, we look forward to creating memorable experiences for our guests while continuing our commitment to sustainable growth.
